Prevention of Eye Problems

Day by day people’s observation power is gradually reducing. People are losing the ability to view things clearly. Many symptoms are noticed when a person is having difficulties with their vision. Symptoms may vary from person to person. Some vision changes can be dangerous and need immediate optical medical care. It is good to keep a track on every eye check up so as to maintain a bright future.

A person tends to have an eye problem with ages. A minor problem can be neglected at times but a major eye problem can cause permanent blindness. In this modern era, medical people are becoming more advanced and introducing solutions to all the eye problems.

Some prevention measures should be followed:-

Allergy Conjunctivitis:  It occurs on the conjunctiva of the eye when comes in contact with pollen or mold which activate allergies. It causes burning of eyes, puffy eyelids etc. Many eye drops are available for conjunctivitis. People who are prone to allergic conjunctiva must have a check up and should avoid substances that trigger the allergies.

Dry eyes: It can cause eye soreness along with impaired vision. The symptoms are eye redness, light sensitivity, watery and blurry eyesight etc. This is caused due to “Blepharitis” (swelling of eyelids caused by blocked glands). This can be prevented by wearing sunglasses on windy or dry days. Not blinking enough can even cause dry eyes. Take short breaks while working or continuously reading or staring at computers for a long time. Many eye drops are also available for dry eyes problems.

Glaucoma: People having glaucoma should take serious care of their eyes as this may cause permanent blindness. This damages the optic nerve which is useful for our vision. Symptoms like bad headache, eye pain, patchy blind spots on the peripheral of the eye, nausea, vomiting etc can be seen to the person suffering from glaucoma. Not all cases glaucoma can be cured but to some extent you can get effective measures. Do eye exercise daily which will give less pressure to the eyes. Medicines and eye drops are there and should be taken time to time.

A person should take regular care of their eyes and must visit an optical shop for checkups.
